CHINA AND PSEUDO NATIONALISM

Whatever establishment says must be accepted as the gospel truth. No questions please. When will establishment say something?

Nationalism has a ‘colour’ now. The definition of Nationalism in India seems to be very different. Today, Nationalism means quietly coming on knees in front of China and misguiding own people. Whatever establishment says must be accepted as the gospel truth.

PM says, ‘no intrusion’. Why are so many rounds of talks taking place between two militaries? A juvenile attempt to lie. Whole establishment backs PM. No statement from government, no briefing and no press releases. Anyone who wears the party colours can get a detailed briefing from someone inside and immediately floods social media. Trust it or your nationalism will be questioned.

The blind faith makes people unable to see China as their enemy and the word ‘accountability’ has died a thousand times. Hundreds of images from different satellites, countries, organizations, amateurs and citizens that give out correct positions are disregarded in 21st century. Indians still don’t know if India has withdrawn from positions it held for years. Not one man from establishment strikes chord with people to sell their part.

Social media is being used to tarnish the professional reputation of experts. The strategic interests are judged by whether the originator tows the establishment line or not. You are branded a Chinese, Communist, or a Congressman because of your views. If you ‘retweet’ a tweet by Brahma Chellaney, you suddenly become a ‘Chinese’ Party, the likes of Ajai Shukla, Pravin Sawhney, and Lt Gen V S Panag are not handled on their professional merit. We simply rubbish whatever they say. Taking them on? No question. Why don’t experts respond professionally to the questions being raised?

Is it not unfortunate that retired professional military men are lying to India with each manipulating the crisis to serve own agenda and misusing the uniform and the rank for TV Talk time and TRPs. Lt Generals lie on TV. Who does country believe? China happily quotes our own people. The BJP-Congress politics is being exploited by China.
Is this sad commentary new to India? 1000 years of history and we repeat. China, an agrarian society freed from monarchy two years after India got its Independence ,bullies India and instead of taking bull by horns, we are into full time internal mudslinging.

It’s high time that we got rid of Pseudo-Nationalism. History remains witness to the fact that our rulers have caused more damage to India than all the aggressors put together. Leaders and decision-makers are responsible for building a country. Welcome to a New India. The spineless model. Being bold is today’s necessity if we want to survive. Let not future generations make a new Nehru out of Modi. Mr Modi, unfortunately, is surrounded by tail wagging advisers. He needs bold and knowledgeable people around.
